Quiz settings explained

Timer, passing percentage, shuffling, attempts and what students see after submitting.

Overview

Settings decide how a quiz behaves: a relaxed practice quiz and a formal exam can use the same questions with different settings. Open a quiz and choose the Settings tab; changes apply after you click “Save”.

Step by step

Step 1 of 5

  1. Turn on “Set Duration” and enter the minutes. The timer starts when the student clicks Start; when time runs out, the quiz is submitted automatically with the answers given so far.

Good to know

  • “Show Question Number”, “Show Question Count” and “Show Question Marks” control what students see while answering.
  • Changing settings doesn't affect submissions that are already in.
