Overview

The AI generator writes a complete first draft of a quiz from a short description. You decide how many questions of each type you need and how hard they should be, then review and edit everything before students see it.

What you'll do

4Pick the difficulty
5Click “Generate”
6Review and edit

You'll need

A topic, ideally with the class level, e.g. “Photosynthesis for Grade 7”
AI generations left on your plan (see Plan Usage)

Step by step

Step 1 of 6

On the Quizzes page, open “Create Quiz” and pick “Use AI Prompt”. A form opens where you describe the quiz.
Try it: click the highlighted part to complete step 1.

Good to know

Each generation counts towards your plan's monthly AI limit, shown under Plan Usage.
To generate from your own notes or textbook, use a Knowledge Source (next guide).
Your quiz gets a title and description automatically. You can change both in the Editor.

Common questions

Why does it say I've reached my limit?

Your plan's monthly AI generations are used up. They reset at the start of your billing period, or you can upgrade under Billing.

Can I use my own OpenAI key?

Yes. Add it in your settings to control usage and cost yourself. See “Profile, password and your own OpenAI key”.
