Overview

Knowledge Sources let the AI write questions from your own material instead of general knowledge. Upload a chapter once and reuse it for as many quizzes as you like: a quick check today, a revision test next month.

What you'll do

You'll need

  • A PDF of up to 1 MB and 50 pages
  • Document uploads available on your plan

  1. In the sidebar, click “Knowledge Sources”. You'll see the files you've uploaded before, with their status and date.

    Try it: click the highlighted part to complete step 1.

Good to know

  • Split long books into chapters: smaller files give more focused questions and stay under the size limit.
  • Scanned images of pages can't be read. Use PDFs with selectable text.
  • How many documents you can keep depends on your plan.

Common questions

My PDF is larger than 1 MB.

Compress it with a free online PDF compressor, or split it into chapters.

Can I delete a Knowledge Source?

Yes, from the Knowledge Sources list. Quizzes already generated from it are not affected.
